After earning a MS degree in Educational Technology and a California Professional Clear Secondary Teaching Credential at National University, Michael spent a few years instructing English at the high school level in San Diego and Santee, California, integrating technology into the classroom to assist both advanced placement and learning disabled students. Moving to Las Vegas, NV, Michael was employed by Nevada Power Company to envision and develop a corporate-wide Intranet system from scratch, eventually becoming the company's critical application, serving over 3000 geographically diverse employees across the state and providing real-time visibility to hundreds of mission critical systems and assets through an OS-neutral web interface. Another change of location brought Michael to Fortis Family, a division of Fortis, Inc., where he was deployed as an IT Project Leader. Tasked with bringing project management to bear on business projects, Michael was directly responsible for Fortis Family IT completing 100% of the mandates for the year, including a multiple-platform insurance premium Java-based calculator and secure web-based insurance policy information for 1.5 million customers hosted on a partner's AS/400 mainframe. Returning to his hometown of San Diego in 2003, Michael graduated to executive leadership in the role of Chief Innovation Officer for Digiteers, Inc., a startup application and website development firm focusing on developing dynamic websites for non-profit environmental organizations. Recently joining the Achieve Internet family as a seasoned Project Manager, Michael brings over 10 years of IT prowess to bear for the company's clients.
