Drupal LA Huge Success

LA Drupal Camp

The Achieve Internet team attended our third LA Drupal camp on Aug 8th and 9th. Once again Chris Charlton and his team did an outstanding job with the event. The location at UCI was not only convenient for the San Diego Achieve team, it really provided an outstanding venue for the event.

Recap of our adventures at the event.

Bill thought the session given by Ben Finklea, CEO of Drupal SEO company Volacci, on How to Build a Successful Drupal Business - It's not about the code!, was fantastic.  So great, the team spent the 2.5 hour car ride home on Saturday discussing every aspect of the session.

Mark, Nick, John, Jeff and Ron, all thought the Views 2 session given by Rain Breaw was "Demystifying" (We were a little punchy after the 2 hours session that was actually called Views Demystified)

Ron and Bill, got a chance to meet a ton of new Drupalers while running the registration table. Truth be told, Ron felt extremely guilty for not checking his spam folder and not seeing Chris Charlton's request for sponsorships!

Jeff and Nick, attended Blake Lucchesi's, Building the Drupalcamp Website. Two thumbs up!

We say this every year, however next year we are definitely selling food at the event.  Starbucks should stick to selling coffee because their turkey sandwich is just plain dull.

All in all, another great weekend.  We got to see a tons of friends we have made in the community, some former colleagues and best of all meet some new Drupalers we hope to see in the future.
