The Challenge
Amerigroup proved to be a great challenge to Achieve for a number of reasons. The Company wanted to launch and host a new corporate website built on Drupal. Amerigroup’s new site needed an internal hosting solution, and a content editing and deployment process that could be well documented and tracked in order to remain HIPPA compliant. Amerigroup provided some interesting challenges around the concept of deployment management for application code, site configuration, and content.
Achieve had to utilize all of its expertise in Drupal development to deliver a project that allowed Amerigroup to launch its digital property with confidence. The client wanted peace of mind and confidence that the site would perform up to Amerigroup’s standards and maintain regulatory compliance with HIPAA, HITECH and Sarbanes-Oxley, all extremely stringent regulatory standards requiring a high degree of security and compliance.
The Solution
Achieve developed a system where authorized content authors could make updates to the website and put those updates through an internal review process, subsequently deploying content updates to the live production environment once approved.
Amerigroup required a hosting infrastructure that would allow them to host a variety of Drupal based websites. The hosting environment also had to be extremely extensible to accommodate the future growth of Company systems. Behind these servers, Achieve developers configured a MySQL cluster to handle all of the data storage needs of the sites.
In addition to the standard server-level backup processes, Amerigroup also wanted both offline and online site-level backups. Our developers delivered just that, with a standard daily offline backup plus a 7-day rolling backup that allows Amerigroup to revert back to look at the state of a site on any day of the week over the last 7 days. Achieve accomplished this by setting up 7 backup sites and creating a script that restores the offline backup file to the site matching the day of the week for the backup.

Additionally, our all star development team provided systems that allowed Amerigroup to comply with its needs for managing content deployment and providing a solid audit trail of changes made to the system, while adhering to all regulatory practices and standards.

Achieve built an online property that was compliant in all facets from the servers, to the administrators, which was delivered as an intuitive interface for the end-user.
