We’re proud of our hands-on internship program here at Achieve.

Hey, Computer Science Majors! Looking for an internship here in San Diego?

If you’re eager to learn and passionate about the web, you’ve come to the right place! Internships are a great way to gain experience and pursue your interests. Here at Achieve, we build amazing solutions with the power of Drupal.

As a graduate of Achieve's 2015 summer internship, these are 10 reasons why I think you should join our next cohort.

1. Collaborate with a tight-knit group of interns

As an Achieve Intern, you’ll get to tackle projects with the intern team. Working with others as a team on real problems with real outcomes can be way more valuable than a class or textbook (sorry professor!). This collaborative experience will give you a taste of what to expect moving forward in your career.

2. Work on real-world projects

At Achieve, you’ll get a chance to work on real-world projects. These projects test your creativity, problem-solving skills, and analytical skills so you can find solutions and build real websites.

3. Learn Drupal from the best

Achieve is home to some of Drupal's best and brightest. Drupal development is what we do, and we’re excited to share that with you. We’re here to help you throughout your internship and maximize your learning experience.

4. Check out our new office!

We just moved to a new office in Downtown San Diego near Balboa Park! There’s a dedicated space just for interns to work and collaborate, plus we’re within walking distance of great food.

How great is the food? One of our amazing developers is on a mission to try every burrito on the Papas & Tacos menu (there are 24!) - you can follow his adventure on instagram here

On a budget? You are welcome to bring lunch and keep it in the fridge, lunch is catered on Tuesdays, and we usually have yummy snacks around the kitchen (#8).

5. You’re family

The Achieve team is growing, but it still feels like a family. That’s because we invest in our employees and really care about your growth as an intern. You’ll get to know the people you’re working with, from developers to project managers to the CEO.

6. Work with great people

There are plenty of benefits to working at Achieve, and one of the best benefits is the people that make up our awesome team. The people you work with make a huge difference in your internship experience, whether you interact with them daily or only occasionally. Luckily, everyone at Achieve rocks.

7. Participate in office and team events

We participate in exciting events and activities every month! We like to get active in the community and have fun doing it. Whether it’s frisbee golf or charity events, you’ll be invited. And always feel free to make a suggestion if you have an event in mind.

8. Take advantage of the well-stocked kitchen

If there’s one thing people at Achieve love, it’s coffee. We have our own Keurig brewer with a broad range of coffees and teas to meet your caffeine needs. Seriously, we have a drawer and shelves just for K-Cups. And there’s always snacks on the counter if you get hungry during the day.

9. Scrum, scrum, scrum

You’ll get to join a weekly scrum, or stand-up meeting, with the whole company. This is a great chance to see what other people are working on and to share your findings with the team.

10. Mentorship

At Achieve, you’re surrounded by brilliant minds with lots of experience in their field. They want to help you grow, and there’s a lot of potential for mentorships along the way. Feel free to talk with us about anything!
