Drupal 7 Queue API

Dagoberto Aceves
Lead Engineer

Achieve Internet was proud to represent at not one but two camps this past weekend. Achievers attended both DrupalCampLA and CapitalCamp in Washington, DC spreading our Drupal knowledge and sharing it with the Drupal community on both coasts.

At DrupalCampLA, we promoted our new LA office, the upcoming LA Business Summit, and several of our developers shared their knowledge and expertise with the community.  Over the coming week we will share their presentations with you so you can learn from some of Achieve's finest.

The first presentation given by our dago.aceves was Drupal Queue API: Built In Procrastination.  The presentation covers an unsung hero of Drupal 7, Queue API, and answered basic questions such as What is a Queue?  How do I use a Queue?  Why would I even want a queue?

Download the presentation slide deck to understand the advantage of using the Queue API vs. looping everything over a single request.  Enjoy the power of Queue API!
